Angel Island, now a California State Park, is also
known as the Ellis Island of the West and is
one of the finest historic sites in the Bay Area.
About Angel Island
From 1910 to 1940 it was
the immigration station and the first stop for millions of immigrants who entered the United States, he majority from China. Now collects most of relics from the American Civil War, including military garrisons and compounds.
From the Island you can
get some of the best views of the surrounding Bay Area. In the early 60's the final departure of the military allowed the Angel Island to become park and visitors had the possibility to enjoying the island.
